As Port Stephens’ only community radio station (run by volunteers sourced from the community of Port Stephens), we believe strongly that we have a vital role to play in the local community.

Here are some reasons why …

  • We are there as a valuable forum for community groups and organisations.
  • We give you and your community not-for-profit organisation the opportunity for interviews
  • Your not-for-profit group or organisation can publicise upcoming events free-of-charge on our Community Bulletin Board, broadcast twice daily. It’s easy – just fax (4984 6718), email ( or post (see Contact Us page) us the details. Alternatively, just go to our Contact page, pop the details on the form there and submit!

Real Futures Program:
Port Stephens Real Futures is a support programme for all students on the Tomaree Peninsula.  It provides strategies such as industry workshops, ready for work, work placement and work experience programmes.
With community support, as well as the backing of local businesses and parents, Real Futures helps students to set realistic goals and ensures individual needs are met.  Port Stephens FM 100.9 is proud to be a supporter of this programme. For more information go to:

The Tilligerry Motorama – Passion For Charity: This is a car show with a difference as all proceeds are donated to charity. The Motorama is always held on the third Sunday in May (After Mother’s Day) at Tanilba Bay, Port Stephens. The Motorama is supported by local clubs and Port Stephens FM 100.9

Other organisations also use volunteers.
One such example is Nelson Bay Town Management.  There are lots of ways to help, ranging from administration, manning stalls and working with visitors to the area. If you would like to help, call 4984 4751.
